WISDM and the council prioritized these changes and placed them in an 18-month transition plan. Each committee of the WDC is now clear on its responsibilities and how it must improve to better serve its stakeholders and the WorkSource System. The blueprint serves as a roadmap – showing people how the WDC works. The blueprint for the WDC was so useful, the WDC strategic planning committee asked WISDM to help it create a blueprint for the System. That work began in September, and has resulted so far in a conceptual model of how the System should work 5 years into the future. More detailed blueprinting will be conducted over the next few months, and by March the Pierce County WorkSource System will have its roadmap to delivering the best employment services to the community.

that represent the critical analysis and decisions made during the initiation phase of a project.  The documents built from these templates make it easy for the project manager and team to record information.  The templates not only provide the documents' structure and table of contents, but also provide instructional guidance for each section.  This guidance describes the nature of the section's content and key questions to answer that will assist in content development.  These templates can be used during team meetings as guides; they act as a project mentor would,

showing the team what decisions must be made and in what order.
The templates were released and presented at the Microsoft Global Briefing event in Florida in July.
